Where should I visit in costa rica? Tamarindo, Tambor, or Curu?
I’m looking for a somewhat tropical get away, with white sandy beaches and nature. I would also like the location to have somewhat of a nightlife.
Which would be the best of Tamarindo, Tambor, or Curu?

Tamarindo is a town next to a beach, its a nice place, not exactly the place you want to go to if you want to get away from civilization since its really developed, there are many hotels, shopping, restaurants, etc. Still the beach is nice, and the locals are nice too. But like i said, if you want to relax and get away from reality, i dont think this is the place. Oh and also there is some nightlife here, bars and such.
Tambor is a hotel(named after the beach its located at), I last went here a few years ago and honestly from the 3 beaches you mention this is the one i would recommend the least. The beach isn’t the best, and really i just dont think its worth visiting.
And then theres Curu, which is a wildlife reserve. This place is amazing, one of my favorite places to visit. I have told people about it and they absolutely loved it too. But this is a place to relax completely, theres really nothing there other than you and nature. The rooms are very simple, nothing fancy. The beach is very nice and you can also take small tours to other beaches and islands close by from Curu. Also Montezuma and Malpais, which are very famous, are close to Curu maybe 2 hours driving at the most. But overall i would say this is the best of all three, you just need to know that its nothing fancy at all. I say this because i know people who have gone there and they realize they cant stay there because they expected better rooms or its not civilized enough for them…
