Some feathers are against the law to posses. Species such as Eagle’s are protected under Migratory bird protection act. Possession of protected species, body parts and/or feathers can resort to large fines.
Some species include song birds, cranes, ALL Raptors etc..etc..
Basically only game birds and non-indigeous species are legal.
