costa rica economy

Is there any safe haven in the coming new world order?
Now that the Congress is on the verge of finalizing a bailout of epic proportions, this appears to be a clear sign that the U.S. economy will experience a full collapse. My first inclination is to grin and bear it and realize most of us will just have to live in poverty and gut things out for a few years. Other calamities are possible. The question is, is ANY place a good refuge right now? I’m guessing Switzerland would be okay, but I’m not wealthy and I know they have one of the highest costs of living. I might feel safer there, but I’d probably still feel impoverished. And I’m not certain that they are any more receptive to immigrants (which is what I would be) than we are right now. I know a lot of expats are living in costa rica, Panama, and Peru, but I’m not confident they will weather this global economic meltdown any better.
Any thoughts on this?
I am moving to Costa Rica. Mainly to save money, not so much because of a fear of anything.
I started a website to chronicle the process of moving, and one of my first members sent me a PM talking doom and gloom about the NWO. They are from VA, and seem terrified to spend one more day in the US. They actually said that they feared for my safety as I am not leaving until the end of October. Eeesh! Can’t be that bad.
I think that Costa Rica will weather the meltdown OK.
