Tourist Attractions :) ?

What would be the first three tourist attractions you think of in costa rica?

For example, if this question was about Toronto i would say the CN Tower, the Eaton Center, and the Sky Dome (newly renamed to the Roger’s Center…)

Thank you !

Alright girl, this is hard to say because there is so much diversity in this country.

A Typical tourist attraction is the Arenal Volcano, with natural hot springs and nice views. Monteverde is a great place to go after visiting the Volcano if you are on your way to the beaches of the Nicoya peninsula and Guanacaste.

Manuel Antonio is a beautiful rain forest on the South Pacific Coast and it is all about conservation. Really close to there is Corcovado National park on the Osa Peninsula which i recommend. Then in this southern pacific region you can also go to Pavones which is s surf spot with one of the longest left breaks in the world.

Tortugero is nice but don’t make a big trip over there any time of year. Right now the weather is sooo rainy on the Caribbean but in Guanacaste (on the North Pacific) it is hot and dry. Tortugero is best in July/August when the green turtles come to nest there.

So you see, there are regions in Costa Rica that have three things to see in them each. Seeing everything is hard because land travel is through rough Mountainous landscape. You can, however, fly within the country making everything more accessible.

Good luck Planning, try this site to get a good picture of what the country is like.
