What is the ballpark cost of a one week vacation in costa rica for 5 people?
Would prefer something somewhat close to the beach, a private house rental, including airfare.

It really depends on where you’re flying from. But just the tickets can be between 3-5k. A beach rental, can be anywhere between $600-1200 for the week.
Then you’ll want to do some tours that will cost about $500-800.
